GOOD NEWS FOR PROPERTY INVESTORS IN BRAZIL

Really good info.  Bahia is in the Northeast or Nordeste region of the country.  It has the longest stretch of coastline of any other states in Brazil.  There is a long stretch of protected land called the "Green Coast".  This was was started to keep the Atlantic Forest from disappearing if I am not mistaken.

Overall, lots of great opportunities for people looking to take part of the next wave of economic development.  The keyword is "Emerging Markets".  The so-called Third World is on the rise.  This is the future, now.  You are either riding the wave like a surfer or getting drowned in the tide.
Do not get caught up in the falling economies.

Focus on the positive & keep it moving!

Good News For Brazil Property Investors

By author | Oct 30, 2010
Grab you holiday clothes and set of to the place of sun, sea and samba this winter season as Brazil is the top holiday destination in South America according to the latest statistics from Cheapflights.co.uk.

The number of property searches for Brazil increased by nearly 200% with the coastal town of Porto Seguro located in Bahia state in the unspoiled north east having the highest increase in searches (194%) in the first half of this year in relation to the same period in 2009.

Steven Worboys, MD of Brazil property agents, Experience International, comments,

“Brazil the BRIC nation with its strong economy and wealth of natural wonders is in contradiction to global trends and experiencing a high growth in tourism with nearly 7 million visitors anticipated this year rising to over 9 million by the World Cup in 2014.”

Of the 50 South American places ranked by Cheapflights.co.uk, Brazil had the most with 22 places including the north eastern cities of Natal and Fortaleza which saw significant rises in searches of 73% and 47% respectively.

The appeal of Brazil’s north eastern states has also been echoed by the auspicious Lonely Planet TV programme whose Travel Editor recently made references to the “miles and miles of unspoilt beaches” of Natal and Fortaleza which could rival iconic Rio de Janeiro.

As Worboys also stated,
“during the past few years I have been watching the number of visitors to Brazil increase. Of course the big well known cities such as San Paulo and Rio are seeing continued growth but it is the burgeoning cities of the north such as Natal, Fortaleza and Joao Pessoa which are witnessing the largest increases in tourism.”

The historic city of Joao Pessoa situated in the state of Paraiba, south of Natal, is experiencing a noteworthy increase in tourism. With 4 of Brazil’s most attractive beaches, coral reefs, turquoise waters and a all year long tropical weather it is easy to see why the area is a very popular destination with both international and domestic visitors.

And to help satisfy this growing demand for holiday property there are quite a few new residential developments, resorts and hotels under construction in the places in and around Joao Pessoa. One such development is the 5* eco-friendly resort, Tambaba Country Club. Covering some 150 hectares of prime tropical paradise, the Tambaba Resort is based on the very popular European Centre Parcs resorts with a wide range of on-site facilities including a selection of sports courts, aqua park, shops and restaurants, nature trails, craft centers and a Cachaca production area to name a few.

Already 40% sold to Brazilian nationals, and now a limited number of these 450m2 premium Brazil land plots are available to international investors with an initial investment of only £3,600 with buyers able to make £27,285 in 5 years when opting for the 5 year interest free payment plan. Priced under market values and with all titles and planning permissions in place, this is proving a highly attractive opportunity to own a slice of Brazilian paradise.
